The Beauty of Big Cats

I never have to travel far to capture the beauty of big cats.

I always make it a point to get to the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo to do a fall photo shoot. It is a perfect time for color and content. Many animals are at their best when the weather changes like this Amur tiger (Panthera tigris altaica).

Although poaching remains an issue, conservation efforts have helped Amur tigers recover in the wild. There are still significant threats, including habitat loss and other human activities, and Amur tigers remain endangered.
