Are You Kidding?
- as seen by -

Forty goats were born on the Somali Bantu Community Association Liberation Farms in Wales, Maine, during March and April of 2025, a welcome sign of spring.
“This kidding season, 15 female and 25 male goat kids joined our 18 does, making it SBCA’s largest herd to date. Most of the new additions are sets of twins,” says Jacob Morton, SBCA’s Property and Livestock Manager.
Over 200 families are part of the SCBA’s farms. The program assists SCBA members by providing them access to agricultural resources, land, and technical assistance that help them uphold cultural identity and economic well-being in Maine.
Visit the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo, Central Park Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and Queens Zoo, where you can see domestic goats, including Boer and mini-Nubian breeds, and at the Bronx Zoo, markhor, a wild goat species native to the mountainous regions of South and Central Asia.
