Bear Watching
- as seen by -
Louis CandelariaI stopped by WCS’s Bronx Zoo the day after a snow storm to observe and photograph the animals that thrive in cold weather. Watching these two brown bears, Ursus arctos, play in fresh snow was something I have never witnessed before in person. I learn something new with each visit to the zoo.
Freezing this split second in time showcases the bears’ uniqueness.
EDITOR’S NOTE: This photo was chosen as one of the top submissions for Wild View’s A Pop of Color assignment. Congratulations! Check out our current photo contest Snap! Animal Pairs.
