A Viper with Allure
- as seen by -
Alexandra FernandesThe beautiful eyelash viper is a bright, multi-colored venomous snake that can be spotted lying tranquilly still in the World of Reptiles at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo. This pit viper gets its name from its most striking feature: the scales that form just above its eyes, giving the crested appearance of eyelashes.
The “eyelashes” aid in the amazing camouflage of this snake while also adding an awe-striking beauty and flair.
So on your next visit, take a moment to appreciate this viper’s unique characteristic, and the true beauty of snakes.
