Leela is a keeper in the Ornithology Department at WCS’s Bronx Zoo. She began her career with wildlife at a variety of animal sanctuaries and zoos before her internship in 2014. In 2015, she became a wild animal keeper and continues to work with wildlife as a rehabilitator outside of the zoo as well. Leela shares a special interest in caring for waterfowl and doves.
