Moose in an Alaskan Pond
- as seen by -
Kathy Brady http://www.wolfeyesphotography.comIt was a late winter in Alaska that stretched into early spring. Many moose, Alces alces, were coming down from the mountains to find food. While traveling from Seward to Homer, I noticed one near the side of the highway.
I pulled over slowly. Using my telephoto lens from a respectful distance, I took a few pictures of this beautiful animal having lunch. The snow-capped peaks in the background made a nice backdrop on a rather gloomy day.
EDITOR’S NOTE: This photo was chosen as one of the top submissions for Wild View’s A Pop of Color assignment. Congratulations!
