Blue jays (Cyanocitta cristata) are a symphony of blue and grace.
These large songbirds put on quite the show during my recent visit to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx, New York. From striking mid-air poses to showing off their vibrant plumage, every moment felt like a masterpiece in motion.
Blue jays are brilliant mimics. They use noisy calls and can imitate hawks to keep rivals away.
