Red Pandas – Worth Watching in All Seasons

How can you not smile when watching a red panda?

In spring, red pandas enjoy the fresh grass shoots and new buds from the trees. In the warmth of summer, they stretch out on their perch, legs dangling without a care in the world. The brisk fall weather has pandas feeling frisky, as they try to hide behind the last leaf of the season. In winter, they frolic in the freshly fallen snow.

Celebrate International Red Panda Day today by visiting ours at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo, Prospect Park Zoo, and Central Park Zoo. You might catch them napping, basking in the sun, or eating their main food, bamboo.
