Thing One and Thing Two

Denise McCleanThese tiny Brazilian monkeys are also called white-fronted, white-headed or even tufted-ear marmosets. I can’t help harkening back to my Dr. Seuss childhood and calling them “Thing One” and “Thing Two”, after that mischievous duo from The Cat in the Hat.
These two don’t get into the same amount of trouble, but they are certainly active and curious about everything around them, including visitors. I love watching our guests completely charmed by a face-to-face encounter with this diminutive pair.

What a great picture! I have to say, though, that this pair reminds me more of Statler and Waldorf from the Muppets balcony…
