George Schaller is a field biologist who began wildlife research in Alaska in 1952. He has been affiliated with the Wildlife Conservation Society for most of his professional life and now also with Panthera. During this time he has studied and promoted the conservation of various species, including mountain gorilla, tiger, lion, and Tibetan antelope.
