Cristiano Silva is a Wild Animal Keeper for the Bronx Zoo’s mammal department. He is originally from Brazil where he grew up spending a great deal of time outdoors interacting with domestic and wild animals. He has a bachelor’s degree in biology and an associate’s degree in applied sciences. Before becoming an animal keeper at the Bronx Zoo, he worked as a lab tech at the New York Aquarium. He has also been a volunteer at the Aquarium’s Sea Cliffs exhibit and in the Bronx Zoo’s herpetology department.
