Avi Shuter is the Senior Wild Animal Keeper in the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo Herpetology Department. He acted as the primary keeper for the WCS Kihansi Spray Toad Project between 2012 and 2018. Avi began volunteering at the Bronx Zoo World of Reptiles in 2005 and has been involved with the department in some capacity since that time. He holds an MS in Biology from Hofstra University and MPA from Rutgers University. He became the Species Survival Plan coordinator and studbook keeper for the Roti Island snake-necked turtle in 2015.
