A Pop of Color

Assignment Open From
Nov 20 - Jan 20, 2021
The flash of red of a woodpecker’s crest, the bright blue hue of a blue jay’s wing, a red panda (right), a brown bear, or russet-colored deer; it’s always uplifting to spot the pop of color these animals lend to the neutral winter landscape. Even if your area isn’t quite so wintry, every scene is elevated by a wildlife sighting.
Share your favorite photos of the pop of color animals bring to the winter landscape.
Our editorial team will choose the best submissions based on appeal, composition, originality, and technical quality. A group of chosen shots for this assignment will be posted on this page and one will be featured.
We can consider a maximum of six submissions per contributor.
