A Peek at a Red Panda

While visiting the Greenville Zoo in South Carolina, I came across the adorable western red pandas (Ailurus fulgens fulgens). The pair had just recently become parents to two cubs. The zookeepers put out some fresh bamboo for them. I saw one of the young ones enjoying the snack and quickly made my way to the exhibit. The little cub looked up as I snapped this shot.

The conservation status of red pandas is Endangered according to the IUCN Red List of Endangered Species.
