The Beauty of Bear River Bird Refuge

I have lived in Utah for some time now and have always heard about the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge. It is a protected area at the top of the Great Salt Lake that millions of birds visit it every year. A number of species stay through the summer at the refuge to breed and raise their young.

Knowing this, I had to go experience the wildlife there at some point. My best friend and I spontaneously decided to make the trip. We weren’t disappointed. The area is full of rivers, streams, and swampy patches. There are flocks of birds everywhere ranging from tiny swallows to massive pelicans.

After taking pictures for some time, I noticed that one of the rivers flowed straight toward the nearby mountain. I found a perfect spot, lined up the photo, and snapped this picture.
