Tossing Toucan
- as seen by -
Deborah AlbertWhile staying at a lodge in the Pantanal in Brazil, morning bird feeds were wonderful for both watching and taking photographs.
Slowly, wild birds would come in to distant feeders. There were numerous birds like monk parakeets, red-crested cardinals, various finches, hummingbirds, and orange-backed troupials, but none caught my eye like the toco toucans with their huge yellow and orange beaks.
It was so humorous to watch the toucans pick up the food and toss it back to swallow.
