Michael Lieto is the Live Food Assistant in the Herpetology Department at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo. He holds a BS in biology from SUNY Potsdam and is currently earning his MS in biology at Hofstra University. His thesis research investigates food availability and body size in hognose snakes and Fowler’s toads on Long Island. Michael is a herpetologist who has a passion for both fieldwork and captive care, and is formulating his career to include both.
