Kira (they/them) is a wild animal keeper for the Animal Department at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s New York Aquarium. They graduated in 2016 with a degree in Marine, Estuarine, and Freshwater Biology and a minor in Animal Behavior from the University of New Hampshire. Originally from the coast of New Jersey, and raised by two former National Park Rangers, they have always had a passion for wildlife of all shapes and sizes, from the smallest garter snakes to the largest white sharks.
