Danielle Hessel began volunteering at WCS’s New York Aquarium in the 1990s and has been involved with WCS ever since. Currently, she is a senior wild animal keeper in the Bronx Zoo’s mammalogy department. She received her BA from Barnard College and MA from Hunter College. In 2013, Danielle became studbook keeper and program leader for the Bolivian grey titi monkey. When she is not caring for her personal menagerie or providing academic tutoring to teenage students, she enjoys traveling with her family and photographing wildlife and wild places.
