Amanda Hackett started at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo in 2012 as a part-time employee for Special Animal Exhibits. In 2014, she became a full-time employee for the ornithology department. Two years later, she worked as a wild animal keeper for the Central Park Zoo with multiple taxa. Currently, Amanda works at the Bronx Zoo as Senior Keeper for the ornithology department. Amanda studied at Kean University and graduated with a BA in Biology. She has several certifications in animal behavior, animal training, and conservation. Her interest for animals started at a very young age, and she is happy to be doing what she loves – caring for wildlife.
