Frogs Are Cool
Assignment Open From
Apr 6 - Apr 30, 2017
Whether big and bumpy or smooth and small, frogs are cool. Their colors help to camouflage them or warn predators to stay away. Many species of frogs, including this Panamanian golden frog and toadlet, are critically endangered. Their numbers are declining around the world. Disease, habitat destruction, and demand from the pet trade have driven many frogs to the brink.
April is National Frog Month. Let’s raise awareness to the plight of these amphibians through images. Share your frog photos with us.
Our editorial team will choose the best submissions based on appeal, composition, originality, and technical quality. A group of chosen shots for this assignment will be posted on this page and one will be featured.
We can consider a maximum of four submissions per contributor.
NOTE: For this assignment, we’re offering an incentive. The author of the featured photo chosen by our editorial team will receive a Patagonia Toromiro Pack, perfect for transporting your gear to the office, the crag, or the beach. See the official Contest Rules.
