Color in Nature III
![Color in Nature III](https://blog.wcs.org/photo/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Julie-Larsen-Maher_1631_Toco-Toucans-passing-grapes_WOB_BZ_05-22-12-977x650.jpg)
Assignment Open From
Sep 20 - Oct 31, 2017
“Colors are the smiles of nature,” wrote poet Leigh Hunt.
Toco toucans with bright orange bills (right), fuchsia-feathered flamingos, green flying frogs, and lions with fur of gold are just a few of the animals that wear color well.
For this assignment, share some happiness with your most vibrant photos of color in nature.
Our editorial team will select the best submissions based on appeal, composition, originality, and technical quality. Those images will be posted on this page, and one will be featured. We can consider a maximum of four submissions per contributor.
NOTE: For this assignment, we’re offering an incentive. The author of the featured photo chosen by our editorial team will receive a Patagonia Chacabuco backpack, perfect for transporting your gear to the office, the crag, or the beach. See the official Contest Rules.
