Spring in the City
- as seen by -
Ramzi TalbiI met this native bee last spring at the Elizabeth Street Garden in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood. While I was weeding the garden with some of my colleagues through Patagonia’s Activism Program (a program that give us opportunities to help our local non-profits), this hard-working bee was busy spreading pollen from flower to flower in a process called pollination that helps flowers to reproduce and provide bees with nectar and pollen.
While I spent a good portion of the spring of 2020 in quarantine due to COVID-19, this picture reminds me how beautiful spring in the city can be.
