Kayla Bergman has been in the field of marine mammal care for over 8 years. She began her career at Buffalo State College where she received a BS in Individualized Studies focusing on marine mammal behavior. Throughout college, Kayla participated in several marine mammal care and education internships. She started her career training Atlantic bottlenose dolphins in The Florida Keys. Kayla returned to the Big Apple, joining the Wildlife Conservation Society's New York Aquarium as a marine mammal keeper, working with sea otters, African black-footed penguins, California sea lions, Atlantic harbor seals, and Pacific walruses.
