Green
Assignment Open From
Sep 1 - Sep 21, 2015
The first burst of green means winter is on the outs. Come spring, that splash spreads, blanketing our world with life from the tops of the trees to the grass below. Then as the season recedes, so does green, making way for the yellows, oranges, and reds of fall.
Here in the U.S., we’re not quite ready for that yet. So indulge us in a celebration of summer in all it’s glory. Send us your best shots of green in nature (like this insect in Madagascar camouflaged against a leaf).
As always, our editorial team will choose the best submissions based on appeal, composition, originality, and technical quality. A group of chosen pictures will be posted on this page, and one will even be featured.
We can consider a maximum of six submissions per contributor, so get us your favorite.
And for those of you in the southern hemisphere, for whom spring and summer are soon to arrive, we’re green with envy.
