Michael Lieto is a wild animal keeper in the Herpetology Department at the Wildlife Conservation Society's Bronx Zoo. He holds a BS in biology from SUNY Potsdam and MS in biology at Hofstra University. His thesis research investigated food availability and body size in hognose snakes and Fowler’s toads on Long Island. Michael is a herpetologist who has a passion for both fieldwork and captive care, and is formulating his career to include both.
