Howard Rosenbaum directs WCS's Ocean Giants Program, which aims to secure the future of whales, dolphins, sea turtles, and sharks. For more than 25 years, Rosenbaum has focused on innovative conservation science to protect endangered whales and dolphins. In the 1990s, he initiated WCS's work on whale and dolphin populations off the coasts of Madagascar and Gabon, which continues to address current threats to these iconic marine species and their habitats. Rosenbaum received his PhD in biology from Yale University.
