Christopher Golden


Christopher Golden is formerly the Wildlife Conservation Society's director of the HEAL (Health & Ecosystems: Analysis of Linkages) Program. He has been working in Madagascar since 1999 where he studies the relationship between environmental change and human health. He graduated from Harvard College in 2005 with a degree in Environmental Conservation, from UC Berkeley with an MPH in Epidemiology in 2009, and a PhD in Environmental Science, Policy, and Management in 2011. He is now a research associate in the Department of Environmental Health at Harvard School of Public Health and the founder and director of MAHERY (Madagascar Health and Environmental Research), a local research consortium designed to improve local Malagasy capacity to tackle the intersection between environment and health.
