Best Friends at the Bronx Zoo

The California sea lions at the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo make such a welcoming sound when I arrive at work each day. I can hear them as soon as I pull into the parking lot. Their barks get louder as I approach the pool as if they know I am coming to see them to say hello. Watching them splash in the cool water and frolic without a care in the world brings a smile to my face.

How I wish I could join them.

But alas, I bid them goodbye until my lunch break. Even though I share them with a host of zoo visitors, we always have our private moments each morning. I look forward to it.

As always Julie, you never cease to amaze me, with the incredible photos, you capture of the different animals, here at the Bronx Zoo, and elsewhere!

Thank you, Velva. You know the animals well at the Bronx Zoo. It is such a compliment to hear this from you.
